I’m Jeff Cross and I am a building inspector and home building consultant. As an inspector it is my job to observe and promote safe installations of all aspects of home construction. I am currently certified by the International Code Council as a Combination Inspector. During my tenure I have found many mistakes made during construction and I want to share them with you so that these same errors will not occur in your new home during construction. This is why I've written a book called "You and Your New Home". The information provided is indispensible for anyone building a home.

My Resume

At an early age I owned my own construction company. I installed concrete, built steel buildings and helped my father doing plumbing work as he was a master plumber.

I moved into an electrical trade where I earned a trade masters and performed troubleshooting for other electrical contractors.

With many years of training under masters in different trades I've reached my goal of saving others lives as a building inspector.

At this time I maintain certifications in residential inspection from the ICC. This includes areas such as structural building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, energy conservation. I also possess licenses in backflow testing, plumbing inspections electrical masters and other trades and skills.

I'm a father and grandfather and I keep my children in mind as I perform my job. Protecting our families is important to me. I hope the information I can share with you will help protect yours.
